.

I'm about as worn out as I've ever been. I didn't sleep last night. It's been a long time since I've had insomnia like that. But I struggled through the day and made it home again safe and sound. On the agenda tonight: a hot bath and bed. I'm expecting to be asleep by 8:30.

Tomorrow I have an appointment to get a massage. Believe it or not, I've never had one. Not professionally. I'm looking forward to it.

I feel better though. Relieved, but cautious. I think it's mostly that I'm so tired, but I'm expecting fallout.

I'm proud of you for getting a massage :) you need to take care of yourself; it's the best cure for all ills.

I'm looking forward to it. Especially after the week I've been having.

you're going to take only yourself through the rest of your life (obviously). Not Diane, not your friends, not your family. Hopefully they will join the journey now and again a la Canterbury Tales. My point is, maybe you should give yourself a break from what happened a few years ago. That lesson is over. You're an amazing person and I wish you knew that.

Thank you. I'm letting it go, I just need to get it out of me. One of these days I'm going to figure out how to stop anylizing everything about myself and just be. That would be wonderful.

perhaps it can start with the massage and a cup of coffee. seriously. just sit down and relax. I always watch my dog; animals don't analyze themselves; they allow themselves to exist freely. Did you ever notice that?

Yes, actually I was thinking of wolves earlier. :)

The massage was wonderful, btw. I'm planning on making it a bi-weekly thing, half way through each shift. I can't believe I never went before.

oOoh very lux ;) you deserve it! I swear to the gods that the world would be a much better place if people had more sex and more massages.

There is a japanese tale of a young bride who hated her mother-in-law. She visited a local wise woman and asked if she had a potion that would kill her mother-in-law. The wise woman gave her some lotion and told her to massage her mother-in-law with it for 3 months and at the end her mother-in-law would be dead. About 1.5 months later the young bride ran crying to the wise woman asking for an antedote. The wise woman said that she already had it. By massaging her mother-in-law daily, they had learned through touch to love each other and therefore helping ease their differences.

Excellent point. More sex and massages is the ideal way to world peace.

Can I ask what you first posted and removed on the now invisible post?
