It cost me $1895 today to quit my job.

did you have to pay a penalty?
"Because you're only working nine days this month and we gave you living alowance for the whole month. Do you want to cut *company* a cheque, or should we deduct it from your final pay?"
It's right, but not. I paid for the month in the house, because that's what my contract was. So now I have to either work the week for free, or deduct it from Greece.
And general opinion is that I'm being "penalized".
